My right rear caliper is leaking. It appears to be from the area around the parking brake actuator lever. I checked the bolt covering the adjuster, and it is tight and not leaking, and the brake line isn't leaking. Fluid is real evident on the spring for the parking brake actuator and the tab that is there so the spring has something to work against. So, I'm guessing that the repair for this leak involves replacing the whole caliper. Before I go off and buy a caliper and pads, is there anything I should be aware of, such as brands/types to avoid, shortcuts, pitfalls, or the thing that I will wish I would have known before doing the repair that I will find out afterward?
