Oklahoma! Revenge of the Fried Pie - November 13
Here we go again...
We're a new bunch and we're still figuring out what everybody likes. For future reference, we're going to call the Oktoberfest run "spirited".
For November, we're going to slow things down a hair and, by popular request, reprise a run to Oklahoma at a pace we'll call "touring." There will be a "spirited" section in the middle, but there'll be plenty of stops to regroup, chat, take pictures and eat. This run includes plenty of potty breaks. I swear! Here's what happened last time.
This run will be a week after the Fall Colors Tour hosted by the NTS2KOC. We generally don't do drives on autocross weekends, but we hope you'll be able to get some sleep and head out to Pennington field the next day for some autocross action.
We'll depart from the Cracker Barrel on I-35 in Denton (exit 469) at 10:30 am after a quick drivers meeting. Lunch will be at the Gainesville outlet center around noon. There are a number of options for food including the new and improved fried pies.
From there we'll head up to the Turner Falls area in Oklahoma before heading back around Lake Murray. We'll probably stop for dinner as a group in Marietta for catfish (or chicken or steak) at McGeehee's catfish.
