FS: Char Broil Commercial Series natural gas grill
One of my friends moved off to California and had to leave his grill behind. I would buy it in a heartbeat but it runs off of natural gas, and there is no conversion kit available to make it run off of propane bottles (there is a difference in the air-bleed jets, apparently, and someone craftier than me could probably sort it out). However, if you have a gas hookup at your house (like an old built-in outdoor grill), this would be a helluva nice unit to have. My buddy had an outdoor gas hookup installed for about $75.
So here's the info... It's got all the right stuff, such as cast brass burners (4 under the grill + 1 side burner), electric start on all burners, stainless steel bar grills, a work surface on one side, and a built-in cabinet underneath. It's in great shape, although it could stand to be cleaned up a bit. As for price, he said start at $350... obo, of course.
I did my own recon, and this grill is made of much better stuff than newer grills - every one I saw at Lowe's the other day had sheet metal burners and 99% had crappy non-stainless grills. The cast brass burners won't rust, and they won't burn out over time. The stainless grills look like 3/8" bar stock to me - very nicely fabbed, and they come out in three sections. New Char Broil grills do not have electric ignition on all burners (there is but one ignition burner). Yes, you can buy a new grill for $400, but it won't last like this one will. IMHO, this is a better grill than the $1,000 Jenn Air unit you can buy at Lowe's.
I'll post pix when I can get them (if I get some bites), but here's one from the Char Broil website - model number 463252205:
