Car Show Saturday/20th

The Christian Classic Cruisers show is this Saturday from 5 to 8 pm. I will be entering the 1991SE British Racing Green hailstorm casualty I picked up recently. If you want to see an amazing example of what a really good PDR expert can do for a Miata that was written off by it's previous owner, you ought to come check it out. We're talking about hundreds of dents, with the majority of them on the aluminum hood. Some pretty cool 'before and after' examples.

Hey, it's free!, lot of nice cars, from old roadsters to current ones. Precinct Line north of Airport Freeway about a couple of miles and across the street from Lowes.

What does it cost to show a car?? Sounds like fun!!

The same Seven club that is autocrossing Sunday morning will be at the car show Saturday. I hope to make it out so I can look over the Sevens.

Excellent show I have plugged on this board before. This one is the last one for the year. Looking is free and entry is just $10. Lots of eating places around too, from fast food on up to places that have cloth napkins!

Got a couple of pictures of the hail damage. Unfortunately, these photos don't really show the extent of the damage; 622 total number of dents on the Miata.

Steve took the hood off and circled each dent as you can see in the pics. He taped a line down the middle and will be fixing one half at a time. Once he finishes this stage you will be able to see what it looked like before he started, and the finished product.

Hood off, 141 dents on one side alone.

I would think it would be cheaper to just get a new hood.
