Does this exist anywhere? Has anyone heard of such a thing? Is it possible? It drives me nuts that my niece and I can't enjoy top down rides in this beautiful weather because of an airbag that might or might not work anymore.

He WANTS to disable the passenger side.........
I understand you can disconnect it and jumper the plug with a resistor (size unknown), but I wouldn't trust it without removing the bag. Of course, then you have an ugly hole in the dash.
unless the title changed, I misread it.
My passenger airbag is unplugged. My driver's is gone (Momo wheel) and I yanked my airbag computer when I yanked my dash so no blinky airbag light.
I'd assume a disconnected airbag is pretty inert as long as it doesn't receive an electrical charge to it's wiring.
BTW, I've not seen an after-market airbag switch. That seems like to much of a liability to produce. I don't see why someone knowledgeable couldn't make there own though.
Afraid of a stray electron or two? :D
Are there easy to understand instructions somewhere on how to unplug the passenger airbag?
Yes, it will set off the light and the beeper unless you put a resistor across the leads of the wiring harness.
