Seat Belt Mod (attn. Flyin96M)

Here are some pictures of my seat belt setup I did to put the lap belt in my '92.

The Tube is part of a Mazda OEM front sway bar link, (I never throw anything away) It had the correct I.D. and O.D. to make a spacer to mimic the collar on the OEM Bolt. The Parts : OEM Bolt, Eye Bolt and Tube.

I took a tube cutter and cut off the tube to match the length of the collar on the OEM bolt, it is the same for both sides of the seatbelt mount on a '92 Tube cut to match the OEM Collar

All the OEM hardware fits the new bolt, and I reinstalled in the car. Finished Part

I didn't take pictures of the latch side of the belt but the procedure is identical. My OEM belts work the same as they did before I added the two eye bolts.

Can anyone guess who got a new digital camera for Christmas! :D

Nah, but I do have a number in mind! :lol:

Is the collar on your seatbelt bolt look the sames as my car? Does a '96 have both seatbelts bolted to the car or is one part of the seat??

Yep it looks and mounts the same, at least the outside bolt does. I don't need it for the trany tunnel since mine mounts different. As for the price...how can you sleep at night?
