Ouch. Sounds like it was a hard weekend on equipment - the Evo was totalled, plus a 350Z and an M3 both ended up with damage.

Painful...
Thankfully, those fellas walked away relatively unscathed.
YEEEEEOUCH!
The instructor walked away with a knock to the head... Imagine if he wasn't wearing a helmet!

That's sorta scary. My last crash at TWS was in that exact corner... I was passing a 996 Duc and an RC51 on the outside and got in the marbles, lost the front end and went down.
My body stopped sliding about 10 feet from the armco.
(It fooking hurts when that happens.)
It was a stupid crash..... The RC51 set up about 7 feet outside the apex because he could hear me coming. The 996 set up outside of him another 7 feet...... because he could hear me coming too.....
But I was going in way too hot and had set up to go around them on the outside.
They broke rule #1 in motorcycle racing. (Hold your line)
I broke rule #2 and #3. (Expect the unexpected and Don't go around the outside.)
No broken bones. Lots of broken bike. $1000 worth of helmet and leathers in pieces.
I wonder when TWS is going to move the damned armco back far enough? There's no reason that car had to be destroyed, and there's no reason motorcycle racers should die against the stuff.
I really did NOT need to read that. I'll be the TDE this weekend.
I am fairly good at recovery, but I wish I did not gt so much practice.
