Well it wasn't on sell but we bought it on Black Friday anyways. The GF
didn't want a Plasma, and since we were going halfies got this one. The 50" Plasma was $999.
Now I gotta talk her into a PS3 for the Blue-Ray movies capability .;)
I tried hooking a HDMI cable up to the TimeWarner cable box but a warning from the box popped up. It said HDMI output disabled b/c of Copyright protection. Is it easier to record stuff w/ a HDMI cable?

No welcome to the world of digital handshakes. Basically it is a way to keep you from recording stuff, and since it is digital they can control how the cable box and TV talk to each other. You might google your box model number and see if it has handshake issues.
