Looks like Favre getting hurt was the best thing that could happen for the Packers right now.
It's not looking too well at the moment, the packers can't stop the pass. :(
I think listening to Gumble was soooo exciting. :punchout: Gee, maybe they can pair him with my other fav, Joe Thiesman.
Good game, though.
The worst still has to Shannon Sharpe... who let that idiot on tv?
My favorite was Gumble"and now Rick Romo leads the Cowboys on the field."
Man, Gumble couldn't get ANYTHING right last night... and the worst part is, he WOULD NOT SHUT UP! I was waiting for Collinsworth to create an awkward pause after one of Gumble's flubs and then rip him a new one. I was at least hoping they'd just take him out in the parking lot and shoot him at half time - he's so done. He just sucks. Period. Why didn't they have someone like Dick Vermeil up in the booth with Collinsworth? Hell, what about Pat Summerall? Surely his liver is fixed by now... and at least he knows what the hell he's talking about.
I also noticed that Gumble would never just accept when he made the wrong call. If he said it was a first down and the refs said it wasn't, then you would hear Gumble trying to cover his ass for the next three plays.
My 15 year old daughter said Gumble sounds like Mickey Mouse!
YES! There was one first down that they measured even though the spot was obviously good enough to make it - they spotted the ball on the downhill side of that magic yellow line, for god's sake. Well, the camera angle was a little funky, so when they brought the chains out, it looks like the ball might have been an inch short. However, if you, the home viewer, accounted for the camera angle, you could tell the ball was CLEARLY across the line. Of course, Gumble - who, last I checked, was actually at the game - couldn't figure this one out, and he kept on and KEPT ON about how they were short of the first down. Idiot.
Really, somone needs to just take him out back and shoot the poor bastard.
Or maybe put him on some WNBA games to practice...
