It's on a Friday? Hmm. :-|
I want to go, but getting to Flower Mound by 6:30 on a Friday night probably isn't going to work for us.
Where is "maybe" as a choice, I like being indecisive I think. ::Clown::
Still thinking about it...
It's not free. I'm not going.
No trophy, no care. Therefore I'm out
I bought a ticket so I might as well go. Couldn't go to the other one in December.
Come on out anyway. We revised the schedule tonight, so the cocktail hour (with open bar!) will go until 7:30. The bar will stay open (read free, TCB cronies) until 8:30, then will switch over to a cash afair. Dinner will start around 7:30, and we'll have the awards presentation around 8:00. The band will start playing as soon as the awards are finished, prolly around 8:30. Should be a great time!
on edit - kids 12 and under are free! (and of course welcome!)
The first thought that comes to my mind when going to a party in a pavilion at a ranch is being outside in cold and/or rainy weather. However, according to the Circle R Ranch web site, the Western Pavilion is "NEWLY EXPANDED AND RENOVATED - with 28,000-square feet of enclosed, air-conditioned, heated event space and expansive views of scenic ranch land."
I will check with the ::Curls::, but we will probably go.
Looks like we're in! ::Banana::
Cool. I'll bring the missus.
I'm new to all this - I hung out a the Gulf Greyhound track south of Houston one Sunday to watch the SCCA "runs" and bummed a couple rides - it was a lot of fun. Not sure it's something I want to get into - not sure I want the wear & tear on my car! But the banquet looks like it might be a good opportunity to meet some other enthusiasts and see if it is something I want to do.
Do you have to be a SCCA member to attend this?
What all is included in the $15?
Does that include the open bar and dinner?
Sounds like a helluva bargain if it does!
You might be better off to consider the SCCA autocross school on March 15th. The price includes the race the following day. It is a good way to learn what you need to do and then see if you like to do it. They have not provided specifics on the school, but you can check here for more info.
