Actually saw a semi-interesting e-mail in the Texas Region Mailing list from our own automax.

David Hudrlik, vice president and director of sales for Kumho, cited continuing price increases for raw materials and rising transportation costs as the reason for the increase. Kumho last raised prices on August 1, 2007.

Bummer. Guess I picked the right time to stop buying dedicated autocross tires. the Toyo RA-1s I just bought were only $162 each in 255/40-17 size. :mrgreen:

I waited too long! The close out prices on the 245/35/18s went away. They're back up to $270/ea.
This kind of ::Censor:: is all making question my level of commitment to the 2008 Season, I may just become a slacker like Altiain. ;)

I predict increased attendance in street tire class ;) I was thinking about being cheap and going for the $450 a set RS2's for the Elise instead of $700 for the RE-01R's.

So you can add a bolt on Flare but can't replace the fender with a flared fender? That seems odd to me.
It's a cost saving rule... See... if fenders were "open" then everyone would fab custom fenders about the thickness and weight of a piece of paper. If you didn't do it, then you'd be disadvantaged.Quote:
