One of the highlights of my day was when the cashier at Kroger's needed to enter a birthdate for my birthday beer I was about to buy. She said, "ID?" at which point I gave her a "you're kidding, right?" look.

So she said, "I'm going to guess today's date, 1963". At that point I just wanted to give her a big hug, since that would make me a much newer model than I actually am.

Funny, when I was 16, with a beard, everybody always got me to buy their beer cause I was the only one who could get away with it; the clerk thought I was older than I really was.

Now I'm glad when the clerk thinks I'm younger than I really am!
