What size wheel and rubber would you use on a mostly track turbo Miata?
I am thinking 15X 7, 7.5, 8. I can only find good rubber in the 225/50-45 range. Also thinking about Spec Miata take offs.

You're definitely headed in the right direction. Unless you are trying to make you're gearing slightly longer by using a 225/50, go with a 225/45 series tire.Quote:

Without hacking up the fenders, that's going to be about it. For quality inexpensive, light, wide wheels, check out 949 Racing's 6UL wheel. I'd opt for a 15"x8" set and add your favorite flavor of 225/45-15 tires.

My track wheels are 15x7 Volk TE-37's with 225/45/15 RA-1's. The 225 tires fits just fine on the 15x7 wheel.
