Hurst murderer
If you watch the news this weekend, you may catch a quick blurb on a murder in Hurst Friday night. It seems to happen so regularly that at some point I must have developed a thick skinned insensitivity to it, since it always happens to someone else, somewhere else. I rarely even notice these days unless there's something spectacular about the crime. I suppose it's that way with other people as well.
This time it happened to someone close to me and my family. We were friends and had fun watching him grow up. My oldest daughter tutored him when he needed help with math in junior high. I taught him how to put a worm on a hook. He was a good kid, and his parents are good people.
Poof! like that, he's gone.
Such a waste.

First I've heard about this story. Sorry for your loss and hope your kids deal with it well.

That's awful, thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends.
