Anyone have a roofer reccomendation?

I am looking for someone good to do my roof on the house, anyone have one in their family? or a good buddy that is good at it?

I had some extensive work done, including a new roof, a couple years ago. The owner of the business is a neighbor of a coworker and he offices out of Richardson.

Most of his work is contracted out - the few problems I had, he was quick to correct. He is easy to get in touch with and he stands by the work he does.

He is NOT the cheapest guy around for sure...but he's local, family owned & operated, and I felt a great deal of confidence in his work.

I've used Huffaker several times. I would probably use them again. Consider yourself forewarned about Lon Smith Roofing.

Thanks guys thats a start, the people I have been calling are telling me 2 weeks just to come out and give an estimate.

The insurance company is saying everything is depreciated by 65% and therefore are trying to screw me, they offered 3400. for a roof, the insulation repair, the drywall, window, skylights, paint, shutters, carpet and pad, and cleanup.

I am not a happy camper

These guys did fine by me, but that was 2 years ago. Don't remember the guy I worked with, but he got more out of the insurance company pretty quickly. Good luck and watch out for those nails when they are done.

Make sure they clean up good - those roofing staples a hard to pull out of your foot if you step on one...OUCH!!!

Albert Tucker Roofing, in Mansfield, TX. Google search will reveil number and no complaints with BBB. My new roof will be by him, as was the last two. He's really good, but don't know how far he travels.
