I normally only have male cats, and I normally don't de-claw or fix them. "They leave the same way they came into this world" has always been my policy. But my wife doesn't see it that way, and, sadly, my opinion doesn't matter when it is different from her's. My older male cat was fixed on Halloween, because she didn't like him being gone for days at a time. (He has been missing since 31 Mar, and she really misses him.) I think females should be fixed, just so you don't get tons of cats living in your yard waiting for a chance to score, and you don't have a kitten having kittens, like we have. Now we are worried she's gonna do it again, since cats can go back into heat within 3 days of giving birth. Hopefully we can keep her inside until we get a chance to get her fixed.Quote:

Nature at work. It's still sad cause I know in the country the cats feed the Coyotes. I won't give my cats to someone who lives outside the city for that reason. Longer life expectancy.
