this is probably just a stupid newbie question but why are all the autocross events in Tarrant County or out on the west side? I'm wondering if Dallas County has a bunch of liberal legalese to keep us out or if it's just chance. I see places that would make great venues in Dallas County and I'm just curious.:confused:
Perzactly why I don't AutoX. McKinney to Miserable Wells is a long haul. Even Pennington is a stretch. If the NTS2K AutoX were at Pennington I might hit them up though. I heard they put on a great event.

I heard that years ago some group ran their AX in some airport near Greenville! It would still be a long drive but better all the way to Mineral Hell! My drive is 100 miles each way to MW. It is still worth it for me to go to S2K's.
Propwash to Miserable Well is a long haul, at 6 am!
I think the only one that doesn't have a long haul to MW is Billy Blaze

BTW, the fact that most of the autocrossing in DFW is done in Tarrant County is just a coincidence. There has been a ton of research done by many of the clubs to acquire sites on the eastside of town. Things just haven't worked out.
There has been talk about using the lot at the soccer field in Frisco for the last couple of years. I wonder if it will happen.
