What a Day, What Next.

As I am on the way to the shower, my wife gets a package from UPS informing her that she won a 37" flat screen HDTV from some sweepstakes she entered a while ago. That's great, I think - sometimes those prizes are awarded as cash or gift cards, which can be put back until closer to Christmas.:D

After I get out of the shower, I see that my work has called my cell phone. I call back and find out that my position will become part time with half the hours starting October 1st::Censor::. That kind of ruined the good feeling from winning the T.V.

On that note, if anyone sees a position for a weather forecaster with a flight dispatch license and aviation MBA, please shoot me a note.

Thanks. If they send a TV instead of a gift certificate, we'll list it here first, mainly for the entertainment value of seeing someone pick up a TV of that size in a Miata. Usually the paperwork and such takes a month or so, though, so you may not want to wait for it if you are in need of a TV to see the Cowboys, especially since this is the winning part of their season.

...while changing oil in my miata and wife's cherokee, the oil pan for the miata overflowed. When I cleaned up, my prescription sunglasses were no longer on my shifter where I laid them. I guess some kids playing across the street must have lifted them while I was in the back getting the hose to clean up the oil mess.

Did you kick a leprechaun or something?

ha ha

Things are getting better, but not perfect. My wife found my sunglasses, and my previous employer is happy to rehire me, which will mean more pay than I will make after the hours cut, but not as much as I make now. I'll also go back to the South Fort Worth to Addison commute.

As far as the important things, though, still no word on when the T.V. will be delivered.
