Sweet. Let me know if anyone wants me to autograph it. However, I will need to charge for it since I can no longer depend on contingency money.
In the words of Beavis and Butthead, "That's the ugliest chick I've ever seen!" ::Banana::
Better keep a copy as a before picture. I don't think the new suspension is going to let it crank over that far this year.
Hey guys!
Looking for some feedback here.
When I convert the newsletter into a PDF file I have options that control the way the photos & graphics get saved in the document.
Most of the photos are rather high resolution so I try to keep the images from getting "fuzzy" by keeping the resolution at a decent level when the newsletter is converted. But the trade-off is the PDF file size stays up around 3mb.
Is anyone having trouble viewing that size of file or downloading it?
I have a cable modem so I can't really judge if this is too large of a file for people. I personally enjoy having decently clear photos & graphics in the newsletter.
Let me know what you guys think.
Thanks!
BTW, the SCCA Calendar should be out rather soon. Matt is just waiting on a few site responses.
I have no problems with the current file size. Then again, I am always on some sort of broadband connection.
Piper might whine though ;)
I am having some unknown kind of problem. Download gets to about 900k and stops. Popsup that adobe has encountered a problem and needs to close. I have downloaded a lot bigger files without a problem so I don't know what gives.
No problems for me. I think everything is fine. But, I also have a cable modem.
I have no problems viewing it without downloading it.
Technically you have to download it to read it... but Acrobat is full of bugs... and given how it has to be plopped into a browser, people have issues using it all the time.
Just uncheck "Display PDF in browser" in the Acrobat Reader preferences. Works for me.
I had problems opening it as well (including fastracks). After seeing this thread, I noticed I had v6 installed. Went to the adobe site, downloaded v9 and in about 5 minutes all was good. Thanks!
I know several people have said that just moving to the latest version of Adobe reader solved problems for them.
I asked on the TX forum, but I'll ask here too.
What would you guys like to see more of/less of in the TX Region newsletter?
It might be neat to see some biographies. I know people like Saunders and all of the Maxcys have a lot of AX history that would be interesting -- I just found out last season that your sister-in-law was a National Champion. I imagine Bellamy could rattle on for a while about his AX past. Or the time Mick Harrison tried out for American Idol.
Are there any old local venues that are no longer used that you might want to tell about?
I guess I'm just interested in the history of local AX.
