Looking for some feedback here.
When I convert the newsletter into a PDF file I have options that control the way the photos & graphics get saved in the document.
Most of the photos are rather high resolution so I try to keep the images from getting "fuzzy" by keeping the resolution at a decent level when the newsletter is converted. But the trade-off is the PDF file size stays up around 3mb.
Is anyone having trouble viewing that size of file or downloading it?
I have a cable modem so I can't really judge if this is too large of a file for people. I personally enjoy having decently clear photos & graphics in the newsletter.
Let me know what you guys think.

I have no problems with the current file size. Then again, I am always on some sort of broadband connection.

I am having some unknown kind of problem. Download gets to about 900k and stops. Popsup that adobe has encountered a problem and needs to close. I have downloaded a lot bigger files without a problem so I don't know what gives.
No problems for me. I think everything is fine. But, I also have a cable modem.
Right click, save as to your hard drive, then open when it gets done. Acrobat stinks honestly.Quote:

Technically you have to download it to read it... but Acrobat is full of bugs... and given how it has to be plopped into a browser, people have issues using it all the time.

Just uncheck "Display PDF in browser" in the Acrobat Reader preferences. Works for me.
I had problems opening it as well (including fastracks). After seeing this thread, I noticed I had v6 installed. Went to the adobe site, downloaded v9 and in about 5 minutes all was good. Thanks!
I know several people have said that just moving to the latest version of Adobe reader solved problems for them.

What would you guys like to see more of/less of in the TX Region newsletter?
It might be neat to see some biographies. I know people like Saunders and all of the Maxcys have a lot of AX history that would be interesting -- I just found out last season that your sister-in-law was a National Champion. I imagine Bellamy could rattle on for a while about his AX past. Or the time Mick Harrison tried out for American Idol.Quote:
