and registration is open for the Blytheville Tour tour
a bit further away at almost 600 miles
I'm out for Houston...
Posting on behalf of our tour gate worker guy:
----------------------------------------------
Volunteer. Get Free Stuff.
Additional waiver workers are needed for the National Tour. Besides the usual work assignments during times of competition, volunteers are needed all day Friday and early/during lunch on Saturday and Sunday.
This is a good deal--volunteer for a three hour shift and you will earn a no-cost double entry for a regional event. So you pay once and drive twice at your next autocross. Volunteer two shifts and get two double entries. Volunteer for more shifts and scrub the rubber off of your tires!
The deal gets better--you’ll get a free “waiver guy” t-shirt. Everyone will know you are el hefe and your autocross buddies will be envious of your spiffy shirt.
Plus, we’ll rotate during these extra shifts so no one will feel like they got stuck at the gate.
Volunteer shift opportunities:
Friday, April 3 - 8:30 to 11 am, 11 am to 2 pm, 2 to 5 pm and 5 to 8 pm
Saturday, April 4 – 6:30 to 9 am, lunch break
Sunday, April 5 – 6:30 to 8 am, lunch break
Contact Mike Barone, http://[email protected] or (713) 203-2483, for additional information or to volunteer. Don’t forget to tell me your shirt size.
Thanks in advance for your time and making our National Tour so successful.
Mike Barone

Thanks guys. :) we need workers badly
Houston throws one of the best Tours in the nation. If you miss it...well you miss a damn good time and some really good courses!
I'll be there! Blytheville too!
yep, the Houston crowd does a great event
but, I'm cancelling out
the Tour conflicts with TMS NASCAR so my co-driver can't/won't go
SCCA has scheduled this way for the last several Houston events, despite us pointing it out to them
I can tow 26 miles one way (rather than 300) and get 120 minutes of seat time (rather than 6 maybe) and sleep in my own bed (rather than 2 hotel nights) and pay nothing (rather than $90)
so I'm going to an Apex event at Motorsports Ranch and run my almost Spec car
Well damn :( I was wanting to get a benchmark off ya on the Friday warmup runs Neal........my shocks should be back in time and I'll have some re-11s mounted by then I hope :)
yeah, I'm going to miss the competition and the fun, but given the scheduling..
pls pass along to Roger or whomever, SCCA scheduling caused at least two no-shows
will be the case as long as they schedule on top of the biggest motorsports event in Texas
I always enjoy the Houston Tour, but this year I'm doing something similar. Instead of driving to Houston to spend $100 in entry fees for a couple of minutes in a borrowed car, I'm driving to Austin to spend nothing for two days at Harris Hill Road in my own car.
Y'all have fun!
WhooHoo! I'm in. After missing every single Tour and Nationals last year, it looks like I'll be able to go play somewhere else and just be a participant. I'm psyched!
I'll be driving the very nicely prepared BMW that belongs to Chris Ledbetter. We've inked a deal for the whole year. Don't let the unwashed exterior fool you - that car works.
I was really impressed with how well it did on street tires. Maybe I'll have to adjust my R comp biases after this season. Nah....
I just want to tell you good luck. We're all counting on you.
