Great day to be alive...
It was a beautiful day for early February and I actually had the day off. I decided to get caught up on a lot of little projects I have been planning for the Miata and for once everything went to plan. After I got finished I took the hardtop off and renewed my love affair with convertibles.
Installed the red wrinkle finish valve cover from Trackdog, painted the header heat shield, made a 7mm Magnum dipstick out of my broken one and installed LED dome lights. It is possible to have domelights and visors.:D

Looks good! I hope that's not a live round on the end of your dipstick...
Where'd you get those LED lights for the a-pillar?
-
LED lights are available in hundreds of styles and colors (white, green, blue, red, purple and yellow light) from any truck chrome shop. Or google HANA leds.

Looking good! I'd bet that the A&M even this weekend would be a good place to try it all out.

Looks good, a wrinkle red valve cover is on my list of future mods as well.

I love the 7 Mag dip stick.

How hard is to do the dome LED for a novice like me that have no wiring experience? A young grasshopper!
-
Easy. Pop your current "dome" light out of the dash on the passenger side. There are three wires: a red hot wire, a black ground wire and a white switched ground. Run a wire from the red wire of your LED to the red wire on the dome light and the black wire from the LED to the sliding part of the dome light switch. The LEDs will light anytime the dome light does. I used a small terminal end placed under the switch slider screw and connected the LED black wire(s) to it. That is on an NA, don't know about the other years. Be glad to help though.

I like it. I had thought of doing something similar myself but male them individually switched so you could use them as map lights as well.
