2009 Solo Annual Tech Program - March 14, 2009
10:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Under this program, qualifying Texas Region SCCA Solo competitors do not need to present their vehicle for safety inspection at each Regional Solo event. Instead, participating competitors agree to and will perform their own safety inspection on their vehicle prior to each such event.
The annual tech program is a privilege, not a right. As such, it carries with it duties and responsibilities. It is designed to be self-policing. As a participant it is your responsibility to make sure you car meets ALL of the requirements stated in the Solo Rules (SR) relative to a safety inspection both prior to and during any Texas Region Solo competition.
If you discover that your vehicle does not meet any of the requirements during the course of an SCCA event, you MUST immediately notify the Chief of Tech and disqualify that vehicle from competition – no further runs shall be made in that vehicle until it is brought into full compliance with the SR and approved by the Chief of Tech or his/her designee.
As an annual tech participant, if it is found that you knowingly competed in a non-compliant vehicle your annual tech status may be revoked and future annual tech privileges may be suspended.
SCCA’s rules, no matter how trivial they may seem, are intended to ensure the safety of all event participants. The Texas Solo Safety Committee takes them very seriously, as should you.
Please review the following details of the program and be sure you are willing and able to comply with all program requirements.
Be safe and have fun! Bob Neff
