Came out to Wylie today to get a quote on a paint job and spotted 2 noteworthy NAs along the way. One was a white one with a cowl hood parked at an NTB near the Wylie/Garland border.
The other is a metalic shamrock green with a tan top outside Starbucks at garland road/190.
Anyone want to claim ownership?
The white one is icepenguin. He works at that NTB.
Where do you live? There is a new body shop that just opened on 78 about 5 miles past me.
Yep that would be my dirty Miata out front of NTB. Man I haven't had time to wash the poor thing in sooo long!
What body shops? I'm looking to get mine painted in the near future, starting to loose the clear coat on the notorious white paint.

Anyway - I was actually getting an estimate from an individual who runs a body shop out of his home not too far from there. He's taking my car in on the 24th for a full restoration. It's going to take him a good 4 weeks or so. I'm pretty excited because his methodology is what I was hoping - dismantle everything that is dismantle-able - focus lots of time on prep work - no visible tape lines, etc. And for a decent price. I've seen some other cars he's done and the work is top notch.
If anyone is interested in getting a quote from him, lmk and I'll pass his info along. It may be a while before he can get you in because he typically only works on 1 or 2 cars at a time.

You I don't think you took a really *close* look. The 10 year old paint with 135k miles on it definitely shows its age. Soon enough it'll look like new again :)
