Wasn't sure if there was a need or if this is a good deal or not. Anyway, 1.6l w/ 5 spd for $850.

Can you find out how many miles were on it when removed?
from the seller:
Car had 197k...
But its all highway... without the running...
History:
My parents bought this car for my sister when she turned 16 (she is now 20) with 167k. They bought it from a retired couple that traveled in there rv all over the us, they pulled the miata behind there rv, so really most the miles are on the rear end and rear transmission seal... I have had the car for 6 months and it doesn't use any oil between oil changes, never smoked, engine did have small morning tap for a couple of seconds as oil change was getting due.
I just pulled it because I figured a 5.0 miata would be a great sleeper...
Engine is sold...
Not sure (forum name, but I know real name) but it came from this board... Thanks autocrosspicturesnet for posting a link to my ad
And to Steve Thanks Hope the engine does you good as it did me...
The 5.0 is now complete in the miata and boy is it ever fun to drive...
But that stock na 4.30 rear is a little low for the torque of that 5.o 1st gear is completely useless and 2nd isn't much better....
I emailed Steve about your post on the engine. He said he was very pleased with the deal. Glad it worked out for y'all. You know those spec racers, always needing parts for the car!!;)
