This will be interesting. Since the courts have already ruled that California cannot treat out-of-state cars differently than cars originally sold in California, there will still be black cars and trucks from out of state in California. Perhaps these will have higher resale values, maybe even becoming status symbols.
I'm not sure that the reduced air conditioning use and resulting fuel savings would be significant enough to be noticeable. I suspect that this is just another way the CARB is justifying its budget.
Let's just drop it. The whole "dark car ban" was revealed to be false the day after the original post. ::lock::
