Sunday April 5th run
This isn't exactly impromptu as it is scheduled on their forum but since it's late notice...
Frist Sunday Run - MWII All Hands
Description: Sunday, April 5th
Call it the April, 1st Sunday run, or MiataWorld Planning Part II, or just call it a party. It all works, and is accurate.
Here is the plan. We’ll leave from McDonalds in Benbrook at 2:00 pm, run some Miata friendly roads, and end at our house.
Once rested, we will continue our agenda planning and partake of Jan’s infamous carb-busting, Baked Potato Bar. You should be headed home by 6:00 pm.
IF YOU ARE PLANNING TO SPEND THE DAY AT TMS, COME ON DOWN AFTERWARD. WE ARE JUST A FEW MILES SOUTH OF THE RACEWAY OFF OF FM 156.
As I may have mentioned, we need several drives, funcanna event ideas, and some Plan B indoor activities.
Specifically, we need drives for Friday that start and end at the hotel.. These can be 2-4 hours in length, with a lunch stop that could handle 40+ people each. We also need a few “enthusiast” drives that are more about the roads.
Saturday, we need drives that can worked be in before and after the Great Race rallye. We also need lunch drive. These could be the same as the Friday drives.
Sunday, we will need drives that depart and return to Texas Motor Speedway.
Please come prepared to talk specifics about your runs.
We also need some ideas for indoor activities that can be done in the exhibit hall. Think games…
I do need a head count by April 1st. RSVP to [email protected], or call me at 800 336 1257.
Bill & Jan Preston.

I got an email the other day about this event and it opened with this:
The weather forecast is sunny and 74! Please plan to come,
whether you can make it to MW II or not.
It's going to be a great for a drive.
If you haven't planned on going to MW II,
but would like to help out,
we'll make it worth your while!
I need to hear from you soon,
please RSVP o [email protected].
Looks like they could use a little help, even if it's just ideas.
If you volunteer, my guess is you probably won't be fully registered
for the event with a chance to win the car. But you may
get access to some things or a t-shirt or something I don't know
you'd have to talk to Bill or Brett. Anyway, they're starting their
fun run at 2:00pm at McDonald's on 377 just south of 820/I20 on
the southwest side of Ft. Worth. Try to get there early if you're
going. I'll be there but Carazzie won't be making it.

Was a good run today. There was Rogue's Black NA, an Emerald Green NB, a Competition Yellow? NB, two Copper Red NCs, two Stormy Blue NCs, and my Galaxy Grey. We drove outta Benbrook into Weatherford and up to Springtown (Billy Blaze where were ya?). Short pitstop in Springtown then off thru the Kenneth Copeland real estate (that man should be taxed) and into Azle. The run ended at Bill's lovely home where we had some good grub and a meetin' bout MWII.
Looks like they got a good handle on the event but they may call on MME for any volunteers that would like to help out. If anyone is interested you can email Bill on their site. If you have any ideas they would welcome them. If you would like to suggest or lead a run, they would need the route directions by no later than April 30th for the printers.
If I got something wrong or missed something maybe Bill or Brett can add to this.
