I'm gonna be optimistic this year. If they get off to a good start then I bet they make the playoffs...
Maybe.
Your Rangers will be fighting it out with Seattle for rights to 3rd place in the AL West. The bigger question in the division is weather or not the latest generation of A's phenom pitchers are ready to take a run at the Angels.
The rangers will be lucky to get tickets to the world series much less actually play in the playoffs.
Just read that the A's starting 5 is the youngest rotation of any team in 30 years... 25, 25, 21, 21, 24. The two 21 year olds pitched for Oakland's AA team in Midland, TX last year. ::Banana::
Well I am excited for the new season, but I never expect much. Since I live much closer to the stadium this year I figure I might be watching some more games live from the bleachers. The ticket prices there are insane. They must think they are contenders.
They will do well until July 4th then fall to pieces.
That's what they always do.......
I have tickets to the Thursday day game. Work sux so I thought I would take the day off and see some millionaires play ball.
Texas 9, Cleveland 1
Stoopid baseball? Dude, I thought you meant the REAL TEXAS RANGERS
Well then they wouldn't be tied now would they? WALKER #1!!!!
baseball? Basketball is still on... hello!
But just for ya'll Go Rangers!
Don't look now, but it's Sept. and they are still in it! ::Banana::
3.5 games out of the division lead and 2.5 games out of the wildcard.
For the first time ever, I'm sitting down and watching entire baseball games on TV. Did anyone notice the crazy crowd the other night when O'Day came in to pitch? Ranger fans are to be commended.
At least those that are still hanging around. I went Tuesday night to the second game of the doubleheader and was amazed at the number of empty seats. The lots that usually charge for parking were deserted and you could pretty much park wherever you liked for free.
