I hope everyone stay claim! It will interesting how this thing plays out! None the less, it will be child care nightmare for those working parents!
That is crazy. I'm not sure what to think about that.
We are hearing that the Collin County districts are holding off for now, but have plans in place to start shutting down soon after the first confirmed case in the county. At the rate it is going, thats a when, not an if.
EDIT: Just found this on our district's web site:

OH NO! Let's put "swine" in front of "flu" and make everyone worried for no reason!
More ppl die from regular flu every day than swine flu. Latest media scare tactic: Mad Cow, West Nile, etc.
Very disgruntling.
Swine flu is not as prevalent as other types of flu. I think the concern is that swine flu is more deadly and can travel as quick as other types of flu but with far greater consequences.
They are more conscerned in that this particular strain has never been in the human population before and there is no residual immunity built up to it. This will allow for rapid spread.
But yes, its the flu. With proper care, it's no more deadly then any other type of flu.
I'm gonna go to the grocery store and stock up on bottled water, canned goods, ass-wipe, and some crosswords. Oh, yeah, and a shotgun to keep the mutants away.
Cool link! Thanks Ken.
