It was a good day. The course had several straights and I was in third gear a lot, but it was good course.

Yup, lots of fun, as always. I think the RX-8s were getting up to about 110MPH or so, and I'm sure the Corvettes were hitting 120 or above on the long straight. That would have been a pretty intimidating course for a first-time autocross driver. Even with my total lack of skill and seat time in the Miata, I was topping out 3rd gear.

Yeah, the blue Vette beat Jim's RX8 by 3ths fro FTD, but when you consider that we are talking a Super Stock Vette versus a B-Stock RX8 on a course with some long straights, the Vette should have been wiping it's ass with the RX8. Good job, Jim!

Actually I show Matt in his E36 M3 for FTD. Plus Jim is a better driver than the Vette guy
