Anyone here ever try this -

Since mine is sitting in a box in the garage, I've been debating doing this modification. I've "plastic welded" before but that was my younger days working on scale model airplanes... so I'm not too worried [no comments :evil: ] about doing this.

Umm... yours doesn't even have power windows. Why would you be interested in doing this?
In all honesty, just to try it. I've got all sorts of time to do some projects coming up... the VW and Miata need oil changes, the X-mas lights are up, the grass doesn't need mowing, the house is pretty much up to snuff... so I've got some time on my hands.
You're right, I don't have the power windows... I figured I'd either cut it shorter or place the garage door opener on small toggle switch down there... or perhaps a switch for a nice set of fogs... or :?: :?: :?:
im toying with that idea... boredum...

I actually have one of those... it came out of my 1979 VW Bus I just sold... perhaps someday she'll grace the dash of the BUR (not bloody likely!)
