Actually IIRC he merged it with Sony's catalog, in affect, trading half the rights to the Beatles catalog for half the rights to the rest of the Sony catalog. Tabloids are reporting that he left his share to McCartney, but that is likely a myth. In the end, I suspect his half of the Sony/Beatles catalog will be sold off to settle his massive debt. It will be interesting to see if his estate ends up with a positive or negative net worth in the end.Quote:
