Got this from the Austin list. Seems like something some of you would enjoy (Rogue)
On Aug. 29th (Sat) The Highland Lakes Squadron, in Burnet, TX. Will be hosting a "TX. Miata Day". Come on out and enjoy our classic WW II planes, Tour our museum. We make REAL WWII Dog Tags on our 1939 machine. (Great for keys, luggage, or whatever ) Tour a 1944 C-47, the "Bluebonnet Belle" and have your pic taken with the classic nose art with your car! We also sell rides in the planes. This could be a once in a lifetime flying experience!
So come on out, and enjoy the day. We open at 10:00am, and stay till the last happy person leaves! And if you smile to much, we may try to recruit you too!
(We have no "Stimulus Package, or Tarp Funds" here, so that's why we ask for donations.)
We are also raffling off a 2009 Harley Sportster. (See Raffle link on top of the web page)
So y'all come on out, and enjoy lovely Burnet, Texas. We are located at the Burnet Co. Municipal Airport, on
RT 281 just south of town.
