Looking for a shop to do some work. Recommendations?
Denton Auto Tint on Fort worth drive. They've done a great job on all my vehicles for a great price and they always are doing GTR's and other nice cars anytime that I've been in. They are fast and as long as you keep your reciept they will repair it for free if you ever have any problems.
Wouldn't it be cheaper just to buy some nice sunglasses then you could just move them car to car to car. ;-)
altiain, since you've had a number of cars done by Tim over the years, it's obvious that his installation work is very good. How well does his tint hold up over time? The last tinting I had was dealer installed on my Honda CR-V, and it turned purple/blue after about 5 years... ::Censor::
Also, I know there are lots of types of tinting... which is the "good stuff"?
That "purple stuff" is cheap, dyed film. Tim uses 3M/Llumar metallic tint, iirc. The longest I've owned a car was my wife's old '95 Civic LX, which was tinted by Tim when she bought it in '95 and still looked like new when we sold it in '03. I've never had an issue with the quality of his work or the products he uses.
Tim has been tinting windows professionally for 15+ years now, and the pride he takes in his work is evident. I wouldn't use anyone else.
+1 for Tim. He has tinted my last two cars and I have never had any issues at all. He also takes the extra time to make sure the fit is perfect with the least amount of seams.
Definitely go for the Metallic window tint. After 10 years on my 99 Nissan it still is clear and has not turned purple.
Will Tim come out to Dallas or do I need to go to him? Might set something up with him as soon as Gary is done w/ my car.
Bump....will Tim come out to Dallas? How about illegal tint shades?
I've used Pro Tint in Plano on all of my cars over the last 7 years...
