WTB Miata Hardtop - Local sale

Looking for a Miata Hardtop. Silver would be my first choice. Local sale (within a 100 miles) would be preferable.

Second choice anything else, since I'll have to paint it.

I thought I had one bought on craiglist this afternoon but they guy sold it to someone else who offered him more after we agreed on a price? I guess an internet agreement doesn't doesn't stand up like a handshake?

I'm checking the normal venues, but if anyone comes across one I'd appreciate any help I can get.

Willing to pay fair market value.

Yeah I've got one for sale with the optional sunroof. I don't know who I pissed off (that would be a long line) but someone took their time in making sure the rain would get in the car. This was done Sunday afternoon at my complex.

I'm thinking that if I replace the soft top they might just come back and do the same thing. Kinda sucks since I waited so long to get a perfect black replacement for the tan top and it lasted only 3 months. On the other hand, after 20 years of having Miatas this is the first top to be vandalized. Don't really want a hardtop but I'm thinking that I'm stuck here for another year and don't want to make this a habit.

Man, that sucks.

Kind of makes you want to put a camera out your complex and see 'who done it' so you can return the favor(i.e. spring loaded nail set to all their car windows).

Mike if you need to borrow my hard top until you find one, come and get it.
