In June, I did the timing belt with an ebay kit. In August, the engine started making noise, which sounded like a throwout bearing, except it was worse if the clutch was released. I finally diagnosed it down to the eBay water pump. Replaced it today with the pump I removed when I did the timing belt, and the noise is gone. I don't think I will get the eBay timing kit again, considering the work that has been done in the name of saving a few dollars. Looking at things, I'm guessing I'll be doing the timing belt again next year, since I am back to the original water pump, and the timing belt is starting to show wear already (Possibly mis-aligned pulley bolt hole causing the belt to ride too close to the block?)
