I just aquired a set of Falken Azenis that are, to put it bluntly, tread deficient, AKA almost bald. I am thinking of using them at the SCCA autocross this Sunday. There is no cord showing yet. They are just well worn and two of them have almost no tread left at all.
Does the SCCA have any rule on this? What about the other groups?
No cord, no problem.
That said, if they are that worn, keep a close eye on them between runs to make sure you don't cord them without noticing.

Why run the road course on worn out tires....
+1 ... it's going to be hot Sunday, and bald Azenis will get greasy fast. I'd run all-seasons before I ran those. ::2Cents::Quote:
