Anyone know of one for sale? :burnrubr:
There was a graphite one at the BMW dealer in Arlington a week ago. I do not know if it's still there.
Why? Have you driven a stock one? Are you going to modify it at all? I'll keep my eyes open for you.
That red one on ebay isn't decent?
I think he knows about that one ;-)

I saw a lava orange one last week at Town North. Priced too high and needs better tires imo.
Isn't decent was followed by a question mark. Too me it looks pretty nice. 41k miles and already upgraded with FM intercooler, etc. Colleyville is close. Go check it out.
From the ebay ad:
" Aftermarket Upgrade "FLYIN MIATA" performance items to this Miata, mostly cool air intake, intercooler and exhaust."
Price is good too, especially knowing you could talk them down.
Just sold 2 in the last 3 weeks.
The buy-it-now was set at $13,900 which doesn't sound like a good price to me. There is another red one on Ebay now with buy-it-now of $10,900 and the silver track car in CA. There is also a black one in Houston that looks very nice. I was down there last weekend, and had I known, I would have checked that one out.
Gotta go back to KY again this weekend, so this will have to wait 'till I get back..... Thanks everyone :drive:
I was thinking of talking them down to 12k and getting what looks to be $1800 in FM upgrades.
I'm not sure I'd want to pay any premium on a performance modified car unless I knew how the work was done and how hard the car was driven.
Would you want a modified car that was driven by someone's punk teenager?
There is a red one for sale on Cooper St. just south of California. I see it on my way to work.
I paid $11,500 local PP for mine. I got my mods for cheap, too. Bought them all used (excepting the DP).
Of note, if you buy one, the intake is pretty much a must buy. Too many issues with the stock setup, even at stock power levels.
Unless you are shooting for ridiculous power levels, after owning one I would honestly suggest getting a nice 01+ and turboing it. The stock MazdaSpeed setup leaves a lot to be desired, though it is not terrible. The turbo runs out of breath by ~225 WHP and tops out at ~250 WHP, and there are no current aftermarket solutions outside of a full replacement. I am working on one, but it is slow going and may not work.
I don't need lots of power to go fast :D. I'm just looking for a nice NB 'cause it's more nimble than an NC. The mazdaspeed is very similar to an NC in HP and torque, without all the creature comforts. I'm a pursit, and I would just as soon have a brand new 1990 base car with no options, if that were possible. I want a sports car, not a cruiser or a boy-racer toy.
Merv,
Have you driven a Mazdaspeed? No offense to you or any Mazdaspeed owners, but I just can't come to grips with it. Every time I drive my fiancee's car, I can't wait to get back into mine. YMMV...

Well it does have options, but here you go
