I read it first on the Tejas list. Sucks for sure. I thought this crap was just happening in Cali. Then I read about Trey and Little Rock. Seems the honda thieves have the value for NA hardtops, etc.
I had a Trans Am stolen for the t-tops in 91'. 2 days after xmas. They stole 13 of them that night. Mine was beaten to a total loss.
This type of stuff will go on as long as people willing to buy tops from questionable source! I really have a hard time to believe some places always have a big batch of tops for sale!
Anybody knows how ugly is the Spec Miata hard top latch is? I may need to lock mine down with something like that!
