My name is Alex, I'm 22 years old and I've been wrenching on cars since I was 15. I've owned a lot of variety of cars but never a Miata. I worked on a Miata when I was 17 in highschool auto tech and the test drive after the repair is hard to describe without me involentarily breathing heavily ;) . Recently my 4 runner blew the headgasket and I really have no desire to work on it, the 16-19mpg was killing me. But still not as bad as my 14-16 with my current suburban (I hate this suv). I want something that gets good mpg, I was looking for a 1st generation crx which I enjoyed owning before but I can't find any. I found a ugly miata locally for less than 1,000 so I started searching for forums and I came across this one... and then saw a Miata I really wanted f/s here!
I've owned over 35 cars ... a few worth mentioning

I've owned a rx7 and a b2200... just about the only mazda's I've owned. The B2200 was a mess, I got it that way.. sold it quickly. The RX7 was a mess when I got it but it was a lot of fun, the coolant seals gave out not long after I got it, I then sold it. I've done a little drifting but never anything else, I would not mind autocrossing but I would love to get some massive brakes on a Miata and take one to a real track. I go up to Dallas often to Mineral Wells for drifting.
