Anyone here live close to Mesquite?

I have a friend who was first on the scene of an accident this weekend on Highway 80 in or just outside of Mesquite, a boy (16) ran out on the highway and was hit by a vehicle going 60mph (no brakes) and was in pretty bad shape.

She did not see it happen but was first on scene and was talking to him trying to keep him responsive while the ambulances got there and he was taken off in the helicopter, but since she wasn't a witness nobody would give her any information. She has really been affected by this. We can't find any news story anywhere and she has asked me to help find any information. We thought there would be a news story somewhere since the highway was shut down and they had the helicopter out there but can't find anything.

It happened on saturday, Dec 12th. If anyone has heard anything PM me or whatever is discreet. And we don't know anything about weather he made it or not but if he survived hes in bad shape, your prayers are definitely welcome. He was one of three boys trying to run across the highway so im sure they must be devastated.

You might be surprised how often the helicopters go out. I think she's going to have a difficult time getting information on the teen's condition due to privacy laws. Had an accident in Allen a while back, Bethany was shut down in both directions and they had a lot of emergency vehicles on the scene and two life flight helicopters - not even a hint that anything was going on in the news.
