At least it could ice enough to make it easier to stay home.
Kid got the day off of school! And the the wife stayed home to watch the kid...
Think I may call it a day at noon! ::Banana::
Around 6AM this morning, it started misting. That stuff freezed instantly it hit the ground. It was a demolition derby from there on in the freeways! I was driving my all-wheel drive Saab and felt the tail was wiggling. It took me 1 hour to drive the first 3 miles across Lake Ray Hubbard into Garland. All in all, it took me 2 hours to drive 23 miles to Harry Hines!
Some of you may be offensed. Most of the butts that crashed was the idiots driving the pick-up's. I saw no less than 10 wrecks on the way. Most of them involved pick-ups and RWD old school SUVs!
The F250 crowd was helping bolster the body shop business on this side of town this morning.
I bet you have to sign a form with Ford to get an F250 stating you have little common sense and plan to talk on you cell phone constantly while the vehicle is in motion. ;)
Yea I spun out and hit the curb cause soemone in a truck bumped me i think I bent a rim. :(
My problem this morning was people who for whatever reason could not maintain momentum on the bridges. Nothing like a dozen cars sitting on the uphill side of a bridge while the guy at the top just spins his wheels. Thankfully the right lane cleared and I was able to go around them. 4x4 has its uses on-road sometimes.
I almost tripped over a cat in the hallway this morning. :D
The ice was too inconsistent here, I'd be halfway through a beautiful drift around a corner, then catch traction and look like a n00b ;)
I was out for lunch today around 2 and got passed by a loud, red NC with the top down...
So I guess I'm the :cat: for wishing I had heated seats, eh?
17* at my house this morning. Good thing I live at the bottom of the south face of a hill. Very little wind at the house down in the hollow.
Its 11 here (feels like 1 so the weather channel says).
