I'm about to do some engine compartment dress up by adding red vaccum hoses. My question is this: I saw a kit on the Moss website for $79.99 that says cutting tool included. I was on the Autozone website looking for a new air filter and they have a kit for $18.99 but no cutting tool.
Does anyone know if there's a real difference in the 2? I don't need a cutting tool but I don't want to get some crappy hoses.

Cutting tool = Cigar cutter. Just get one for 99ยข from a cigar shop.
Not sure of the difference in kits. That's a significant price difference so I'd imagine the kits themselves are significantly different. You want to make sure whatever kit you get has a variety of hose diameters and the proper hose diameters for our cars.
This is what the Autozone kit has:
Spectre/Red silicone vacuum hose kit includes 10 ft. of 3/16 in. (4 mm.), 5 ft. of 1/4 in. (6 mm.) and 2 ft. of 3/8 in. (10 mm.)
I'm cheap too so i was thinking Autozone first as well!

For $80, the Moss kit shouldn't just include the tool, it should be pre-cut to fit and come with a happy ending...
