I thought I moved to Kentucky, NOT Seattle!
It's raining.......still, and when it's not, it's snowing! We've been here for nineteen days, and I think there have only been two days without precipitation. I feel like I'm getting webbed feet......Quack! Quack! It's not so bad when the temps stay below freezing, but when it gets warmer, everything turns to a sticky, gooey mess of mud. We've been waiting for a concrete floor in the new barn, but they can't get the trucks in. The barn is almost complete, but all the rain has kept it muddy, even though it is "in the dry". Luckily, we don't have to go anywhere, except to the laundry. The new washer and dryer won't be here for another week, and I get very muddy every time I go to the barn.
Other than that, we are enjoying retirement. Everyone is so friendly, no matter where we go, and the pace is much slower. We have, however, decided that the education level around here is a bit lower that Texas.......we fit right in with our overalls and boots!
Sunny hasn't been out of the garage since we got here. The stacker hasn't been unloaded because we have no where to put stuff. Once the concrete is poured and we get it and the RV inside, things will be better and we'll actually have room in the garage for the cars/truck that are outside. Maybe then I can actually get back to building Speedie Jr.
