Blown main fuse
My '95 (98000 miles) is unable to start due to a blown main fuse. The car worked normally the day before but could not start the following day. Any suggestions on why or what to check before I replace the fuse? Also, the fuse is stuck in place. The other fuses can unplug easily except this one. What's the easiest way to unplug this fuse? Thanks!

Blown fuses
OK....I found out how to replace the fuse. It was not 'stuck' after all::Clown::

Nope. Bolted down. ;)
As for blowing the fuse. It usually has to be a short. I blew that fuse when I accidentally grounded the power wire to the alternator once. It's an 80 amp fuse so I'd certainly find the source. Check to make sure your battery connections are tight and the battery is bolted down securely.

I had one blow years ago and never did find the cause. ?????

Blown fuse
Thanks guys. I think I may have messed up when I tried jump starting the car with the dead battery. I replaced the fuse and all is well:D

That'll do it every time. Gotta watch those battery leads!
