Introducing Hot Tempered

Mrs. Titus and I went out car shopping tonight and ended up coming home with a Miata for her. It's a 93LE that she has already christened "Hot Tempered".

Problem with two Miatas is now you have two toys to maintain, mod, etc...

I've already got a list for the daily driver of "wants" and have taken care of most of the "needs".

Thanks Guys... It popped up on Craigslist late Monday night and BJ was emailing him immediately. The ad didn't say LE and didn't mention or show the red interior, but we new what it was instantly when we saw the spoiler and BBS wheels. The car was only 20 minutes from our house... over in Rowlett, but the seller didn't have much time available to show it. We finally got a chance to see it last night at 9pm, and drove off with it 30 minutes later. It has a lot of miles (152k) the dash is cracked, the drivers seat is torn, and it had some nasty wood trim that I have already begun removing, but otherwise the car is in really good shape and all the original pieces are there except the front air dam. The top boot was in the trunk and still like new, and the seller says he has the tonneau cover but has to find it... he is going to call us when he does. We will be dealing with the little issues over the next few months, and I believe my Hard Dog Deuce will be moving over into it at some point.

FYI, the 1993 LEs were numbered from 1 to 1,500 by Mazda. Since Mazda issued those numbers, they have a record of them by VIN. If you would like to know your car's number or more about the car (other original options, any recalls or recall service performed by Mazda) you can call Mazda North America Customer Relations at 1-800-222-5500 with your VIN. If the person you get tells you they don't have your car's number, ask to speak to somebody else. They *do* have the number because all manner of LE owners have called to get theirs and have been successful while a few have taken "no" for an answer.
