I just want some opinions of what you would consider the best setup for a car.
I'm not referring specifically to Miatas, but just cars in general.

Where's the "It depends on the car" option?
A Miata does not make a good platform for a drag car. Likewise a <Insert your favorite muscle car> doesn't make the best platform for a track car.
A hard core drag car makes it completely unsuitable for everything else. (Tubbed, skinnies, nitrous, etc.) A hard core road race car can still drag race and do other stuff.

Handy chart
I like to go straight = Drag Racer
I like to make only left turns = NASCAR
I like to make left and right turns = Road Racer

Best set-up for what?
Drag racing? Road racing? Dirt circle track? Street driving?
For a street car.
For street I would say very soft road race set-up.
Hard core road race set-up is only good for road racing.
Hard core drag race set-up is only good for drag racing.
Thanks for that link Ken-O. That was awesome.
So the question remains: Where do you fit on the Pyramid of Speed? For all you people who are already hooked on "Go-Fast Crack Pipe", just bite the bullet, throw a roll cage in your car, learn how to control your car a little better, and let's battle it out on the top level of the Pyramid, and let's look down upon all the other "pseudo-racers" from our perch in the Pyramid.....
That was a very funny link lol. The thing about the pyramid though without the base it cannont stand lol. So without the other layers of the pyramid existing then there would be no top :o
