Anyone have a good aftermarket front bar sitting around collecting dust?
I'm not sold on the need for a rear bar yet though, but I'm not opposed to a complete set.
Thanks,
Sean

If you get a rear bar too, go with an adjustable one like the FM bar. It seems that car power, driving style, springs, and autocross vs track have a big affect on rear bar preferences. I run the FM front bar and have a lot of power... In my limited experience and experimentation, I seem to prefer less rear bar autocrossing (OEM bar is good, FM full soft seems better, FM mid setting too much) and a little more rear bar for track (OEM too little, FM full stiff too much... have not decided if I like FM soft or middle best).
I would just upgrade the front bar right now. Most serious track/autox Miatas I know are running stock or no rear bar at all.
I have only used my rear RB bar at PMS, but I do not currently use it at all. I have a good setup that allows me to use my stock bar.
I do not use a bar at all at TMS, and sometimes not at MW.
Save your money and skip the rear bar, at least for AX.
If anyone wants a brand new, never installed RB rear bar for cheap, I have one.

Nah, he said he wasn't sure if he wanted a rear bar or not. For dirt cheap, he is more than welcome to buy mine to give it a whirl.
Not without a somewhat matching front one ;)
im going with flyin miata both for $200 or might include it with my struts/springs or coilover kits to save some bucks.(plus they're all designed to work together). from what i know the front is the biggest difference on these cars, in which with our evo's all i changed was the rear and got impeccable handling. racing beat has some inexpensive front swaybars you can pick up, plus they sell matching rear ones.
could have just bot the one i had in my trunk went we meet up over the weekend.
That's a rear bar, right Jeff? I think the front is more important right now :) Or was it a front?
Racing Beat front tubular bar. with FM rear solid bar
The only difference between the Racing Beat and the FM rear sway is the FM bar has 3 adjustments and the Racing Beat only has 2. Other than that they are the same size and weight.
Now to thread jack: how tail happy is that setup, MiataMike? I would have the RB hollow front and matching RB rear on my NA if I wasn't so lazy...I've heard it gets a bit too much with the rear bar, and I know that I would be too lazy to remove and replace with the stock bar, so I was thinking to just sell it and call it a day.
My car will more than likely never see an auto-x again. Hopefully sooner than later I will get it track-worthy again.
I like the setup that way. It adds a bit of oversteer. But I wouldn't say its a lot of oversteer. I'm not fond of understeer at all. When I turn the wheel I want the car to rotate not go strait. But if I did auto-X I would probably need to change some part of the setup depending on what I wanted my end result to be.
Thanks. I'm not an understeer fan either, but my car already steps out a bit easily enough, so I was starting to wonder if people were correct on it being "too much oversteer" with the rear bar. I guess I'll put that back on the project list and see for myself.
Got some. Lock er up.
