Good luck and stay hard
Why do we have to be pathetic :'(
We can be pathetically awesome or awesomely pathetic. Your pick!
Well with those kind of adjectives I feel better now
I wanted to come watch this year I've heard a lot of good things about it unfortunately I won't be able to make it cause I'm still going to be on a detachment to Morocco till the 13th. But I wish I huge amount of luck to Team Miagra :D
This one's close enough I might just make it out to watch.
...Ahh, who am I kidding, im sure something will come up.
$25 entry and standing around in a parking lot with 102 degree temps. Sounds like an autocross. I'll pass. Good luck though.
$25 just to get in to watch?:punchout:
There is general parking at the top of the hill. You can actually a good part of the track from there. I'd guess at least half. If you're coming out to cher us on, our team HQ is at the long covered paddock, pretty much dead in the middle. Look for a large checkered flag rug.
forecast 102*, might have to come watch cars over heat coming down the front straight.
Team Miagra will have a canopy on top of the hill. You can bring your lawn chair and sit under it and see the whole track. They also have their main base under the covered paddock. It's worth the 25 bucks especially on Sunday when they crush a car. Unfortunately, I will not be able to go this weekend. Good luck guys.
Good luck guys!
Admission fee turned out to be $20. I had a great time Saturday. There was a lot of interesting cars (and people).
Here are a few photos. I'll get more up when I have some time to work on them.
Brake issues, blown front bearing, and then finally a head gasket failure. Team Miagra was in for possibly their best finish ever. It just wasn't in the cards this round. Tough break, but still a great experience. Thanks Doug for coming out!
More photos HERE.
Wow Doug! I feel like I was there. Fantastic photos that needed no captions; almost every one told a story. Thanks so much for sharing them. I get nostalgic seeing some of the cars I wanted to drive back in the early eighties. The one that gets the "best of show" award in my opinion was the BP Oil car. Very funny and the bumper stickers looked real. Still grinning on that one.
+1. My coworkers loved that BP car and the Western Union Nigeria car.
We can't figure out what kind of car this is though.http://dougcovington.smugmug.com/Oth...49_f3RBJ-O.jpg
