When I lived in LA a few years ago I went to some of the events at Qualcomm in my Miata and had alot of fun. Great big site with a decent surface, plus you could pit in the shade under a commuter train bridge. I also remember that older guy in his VW Bug and trademark pipe.

Weird part was that SoCal didn't have much in the way of autoxing. The sites were pretty hard to come by, which is why I made the 2 hour drive to San Diego. But they ran events nearly year round because the weather was ALWAYS EXACTLY 75 DEGREES WITH NO RAIN. Talk about your groundhog days.....
