WTS/WTT *FACTORY* 94-97 R Package Rear Skirt (Air Dam)
Howdy all,
I pulled this from a junkyard car a while back, first to install on my personal car, then to put on Fleabay, but hey, I'm lazy and I'd rather sell it locally. ;)
THE GOOD: This is an OEM black urethane rear skirt (aka rear air dam or under-bumper trim) from a 94-97 R Package. This is not one of the Chinese knockoffs found on Fleabay, this is a GENUINE MAZDA PART as indicated by the part number 0000-86-710-A in the third picture. (I know it also says "Made in Canada", but so did the replacement rear skirt I purchased in 1998 to install on my former 94R; go figure.)
Those who know 94-97Rs' probably know that these rear skirts tend to get damaged or knocked off on speedbumps, steep driveways, railroad crossings, and suchlike. Few R's are still wearing their original skirt today, but Mazda reportedly ran out of replacements years ago, making originals pretty hard to find. They're also a "Must Have" for E Stock SCCA autox, which requires all factory trim to be present.
The purchase includes both pieces and a complete set of installation bolts and nuts.
THE BAD: The item is in USED CONDITION with lots of scratches- see second picture below. Most, but not all, scratches are on the bottom of the skirt where they will not be visible when viewing from above.
